Our magazine is not intended to be easy reading. Marxist theory is a guide for action. We want readers who will study Marxism, who will learn to think in a Marxist manner, in order to act like proletarian revolutionaries.
The problems that face the world working class at the present time are extremely complex. We try to give the simplest and clearest answers possible to these questions. However, it is impossible for the average worker to understand many of the articles in our magazine. To overcome this difficulty, it is necessary to establish study groups to study Clave. Proletarian revolutionaries take a serious attitude toward all problems and above all toward the problem of their own theoretical education. Each article must be submitted to a thorough discussion. Any doubts or objections that arise must be precisely formulated and brought to the attention of the editors of the magazine. Constant communication between the editors and the readers is the fundamental precondition for a correct orientation of the magazine and for its close ties with the class struggle of the proletariat.
At the same time we hope that our readers will supply material assistance. We have already said that the editors have no special funds at their disposal. If you need Clave, friends and readers, show it by your actions: send in subscriptions, give the magazine wide circulation, solicit subscribers, broaden the base of Clave!
