26/I.1922.

Comrade Glyasser:

It is absolutely necessary that I have all the minutes of the Politbureau (and the “Duet”)[1]

at the proper time

and in full order.

Order means completeness:

(a) all minutes

(b) all papers in each set of minutes, and not references to absent letters, “proposals”, remarks, etc.

Make sure to arrange everything with Burakova and with anyone else concerned,

put everything in order (and get all the lacking documents in)

all the minutes during my absence (this means from 6.XII.1921?[2])

and send me everything.

I enclose the minutes.

Lenin

  1. ↑ Duet—two members of the Politbureau of the RCP(b) Central Committee who outlined its agenda, gave a preliminary reading of the material for the sittings, and in some cases submitted their conclusions.
  2. ↑ Lenin was given leave under a Politbureau decision on December 3, 1921; he was away on leave from December 6.
