Comrade Kamenev:
I was given this yesterday by Khinchuk.[1] Have a look at it and show to all members of the United Economic Commission.[2]
It looks as if the business is growing, isnât it? Will someone suggest methods of stricter check-up?
2/XII. Lenin
P.S. Please also send this to all members of the Politbureau.
- â This letter was written at the bottom of a typed copy of a report entitled âCentrosoyuz turnover in relations with gubernia societies and district sections. Data on commodity turnover of the sections for September-November 1921 in millions of rubles of present currencyâ.
- â The United Economic Commission, mentioned by Lenin, was a commission for âbringing together all economic and financial questionsâ on whose establishment the Politbureau of the RCP(b) CC adopted a decision on December 1, 1921.
