Dear Comrade,

Many thanks for your letter and the beginning (the end has not yet reached us) of the article “Iskra’s Military Campaign”. I was especially happy to receive your letter since we hear so rarely from Russia, so rarely do people write us not “in duty bound” but to exchange ideas. Please write more often and collaborate more closely with our new organ, which we shall begin publishing in the near future (we are sending a detailed letter about the paper to the Caucasian League with a request that it be passed on to you too[1] ; ask for it and bring it to the attention of as many comrades sharing the Majority views as you possibly can). I would say that your article is unquestionable evidence of your literary ability, and I ask you not to give up writing. It is quite possible that even this article could be adapted and revised for publication (in its present form, as you remarked yourself, it is somewhat out of date). Try to answer this letter as soon as possible and to establish direct contact with us by letter, to correspond regularly. This is of utmost importance considering the scanty flow of literary contributions from Russia. Write also about local affairs, and what Majority literature you have seen.

With comradely greetings,
