ENGELS TO MARX
IN LONDON
[Manchester, about 3 July 1862] Dear Moor,
Since the new financial year has begun and I shall not have to pay back the £50 to Borkheim[1] for a fortnight or so, we can repeat our recent coup de main. You will find herewith I/Q 86445. Ten pounds, Manchester, 31 Jan. 1861. Bank of England note. The second half tomorrow.
The speculation on the cotton market and the consequent daily rise in prices has kept me so busy that I don't know whether I'm coming or going. I shall write as soon as I have time.
How is little Jenny?
Your
F. E.
