- ↑ Written on G. V. Chicherin’s letter to Lenin of January 3, 1921, informing him about the negotiations between A. A. Joffe, Chairman of the Russian-Ukrainian delegation, and Jan Dombski, Chairman of a delegation from the bourgeois Polish Republic, on the conclusion of a peace treaty between Russia and the Ukraine, on the one hand, and Poland, on the other. Dombski demanded that the Soviet Republic should compensate Poland for military expenditures running to 73 million gold rubles, while Joffe agreed to only 30 million.
The peace treaty concluded on March 18, 1921, stated that both sides waived any compensation for their military expenditures and losses caused by the war.
