MARX TO FRANÇOIS LAFARGUE
IN BORDEAUX
London, 7 July 1869
My dear friend,
Your letter decided me to leave immediately for Paris.[1] There I shall be able to judge the state of affairs and to act in the sense indicated by you. I quite share your views. I shall write to you from Paris, where I shall stay for two or three days.[2] The news of the state of your health has deeply pained me and all my family, who love you sincerely.
Please, pass my compliments to your wife.
Yours
Karl Marx
