Motteler, Julius (1838-1907)—German Social-Democrat; deputy to the Reichstag in 1874-78; an émigré in Zurich and later in London at the time of the Anti-Socialist Law; was responsible for the transportation of Der Sozialdemokrat and illegal Social-Democratic literature to Germany.
