Siegel, August (1856-1936) — German Social-Democrat, miner; active in the trade union movement of the 1880s, one of the organisers of the Union of German Miners; because of the persecution he was forced to emigrate to England (1891) where he lived more than twenty years and took part in the strike movement of the Scottish miners.
