Charu Mazumdar (also spelled Majumdar or CM in short), was an Indian communist revolutionary from West Bengal's Siliguri, widely known for being one of the main architects of the 1967 Naxalbari Peasant Armed Uprising. He is considered as one of the two main theoreticians of the underground Maoist movement in the Indian state, which wages an armed class struggle for power, guided by the Maoist military doctrine of Protracted People's War.
