Concerning Zinovievâs proposal to reprove Steklov for his tactless article âOn Leftismâ[1]âI think this should not be done just now.
It seems to me that Soltsâs item in Pravda on this matter was sufficient. Steklov will undoubtedly draw the right conclusion from this item, so that the Politbureauâs intervention just now would be premature.
V. Ulyanov (Lenin)
Chairman, Council of Peopleâs Commissars
- â On Leninâs manuscript there is this note by a secretary: âTalked with Comrade Rakosi: he promised to find out and give a written reply.â On September 9, 1921, I. S. Unschlicht, Deputy Chairman of the All-Russia Cheka, informed Lenin that in view of Adolphe Carmâs release, he was being allowed to leave the territory of the RSFSR, and his case had been quashed.
